Simon Robert / Sirens

After just over a week of being publically viewable, it’s gained 110k+ views and was selected as a ‘Vimeo Staff Favourite’ (with very minimal publicity and an unknown band and director).

The animation uses a combination of stopmotion and compositing to create epic imagery (everything is shot with a camera before being combined digitally).

It’s narratively driven, with the video adding depth to the story told by the song.

This is my first music video.

Director’s Notes commented that “as first forays into the world of music videos go they don’t get much more impressive”.
